This week had been a rough week, with another week to come, but I am just glad for this short-breather of a weekend.
I spent the day resting at home, listening to music, updating my long over-due diary and blog and just thinking about my bleak future.
Sometime this week, I was rudely awakened on one of the days from a bad dream, I had dreamt that two of my guys had become rebellious. That they are starting to challenge me and even speak back against me! And moreover, that that point of time, I was outnumbered whenever I try to correct them via disciplinary methods. Every time he answers back I want to just whack him, but I have got that ominous feeling that he'll crack up and attack back, sure, I'll ultimately win, but at what cost? My dignity? My respect? My self-control? Sigh...

Recently, I bought myself a felt-golden brown Timberland wallet to replace my aging FX wallet. It's time to move on with times, and I like my new wallet!
Lonely weekends spent last week at home was spent adding another 500gb HDD to my com, now I've got VISTA ultimate on my FXPC, AMD 3500++ socket-939 processor, with 1TB of SATA2 internal HDD storage~ Yahoo!
1TB!! Soon to be 2TB...
500gbs are now the best value per gb/platter hdds, 500gb going for $218 (Seagate @ Fuwell). Go get one yourself! That's 1TB of storage at $436, $0.436 per gb. If you get a 160gb, it will cost $99 which is $0.619. That's 14% more expensive.

Today started a little differently from other days, we were shown the September 9/11 video, this time I got to see the complete footage of how the aircraft smashed into the twin WTC towers in New York. The documentary showed everything in explicit detail, accounts of victims and thousands of people directly affected by the terrorist attacks. And the whole world shook in terror and disbelief as the events unfolded before their eyes on national television.
Even as I watched the video, I had to fight back the tears welling up behind my eyes. I vividly remember the night I stood there watching the news on Channel Newsasia six years ago when we were still in block 147. I remember watching the TV at 11pm that night, as we watched the 2 buildings collapse with thousands of people still inside.
The world was no longer a peaceful world and everything changed since then, everyone slept in fear, I remember how our commanders told stories about how fearful everyone was, my CO in AFS slept with a pistol under his pillow in the aftermath of 9/11. Countries went to war, others beefed up their forces, security was enforced everywhere, armed guards in KINS and armed officers on public transport.
The world has really become a different place after 9-11, and because of that fateful day, 3Da undertakes a new role of 24/7 activation and Ops VA. After watching the videos I felt it was really a tear jerker and felt fresh new motivation in my line of work in 3Da. We don't want another 9-11 copycat attack in Singapore. We are really making a difference in NS... Protecting our nation.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2
It wasn't too bad, the show was watchable, but somehow it felt lacking from the original and the though the dancing sequences were fantastic, the music and scenes didn't seem to click with one another and there didn't seem to be that magical flow from one scene to another. The whole script of HSM 2 felt rather forced. I enjoyed the first movie tremendously, what's HSM 2 about? Here's my take:
Even if you have not heard of the High School Musical franchise, it doesn't take much to figure out its target audience for HSM2 with its dreamy teen leads, perky song-and-dance sequences, and crises that resolve themselves in a rousing, hand-clapping finale. Heck, even the catty trouble-makers are inexplicably likeable. School's out and high school musical 2is here to crank up the fun and drama.
Disney Channel's very successful telemovie of last year has since spawned everything from sold-out concert tours in the US to young adult novels and a stage adaptation.
Things start on a high note – school's out and summers in. The bookish, brainy Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Anne Hudgens) and her basketballer beau Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), plus the rest of their class, head of to temp at the posh Lava Springs country club.
A recipe for disaster when said property happens to be owned by the family of drama club diva Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdher hapless "sidekick" la as a love rival – and her hapless "sidekick" bro Ryan (Lucas Grabeel).
Troy, played with much likeability by a 19 year old Efron (Hairspray), meanwhile, has to decide if he wants a basketball Scholarship enough to alienate his buddies with a new-found training routine. “I always liked the idea of being in charge of my future, until it started happening”, the floppy-haired, twinkle-eyed hunk moans to his high school sweetheart at one point. The movie manages to keep the momentum going with thumping, cheery musical numbers – highlights include the show-opener with what time is it, a wholesome echo of Britney spear's Baby One more time video, and Sharpay's ode to materialism, Fabulous throughout Disney's 100-minute fluffy offering.
It doesn't quite outdo its predecessor's novelty and pizzazz, but to its credit, keeps to a winsome combo of karaoke-friendly songs and teen themes about having fun, fitting in, finding love and ultimately, growing up.
Recently the high school franchise has been marred by bad publicity about Vanessa Hudgens nude picture splashed all over the net, Oh no! At first I though that was bound to kill her career, but then Disney came back saying that they'll still support her for HSM 3, then suddenly more pictures are splashed of her in various acts that are not suitable for viewing by Children. Hmm, but she's still a great actress and singer though!
HSM 2 – 3/5 stars.

Insane Wave Pool
I went to COMEX 2007 to buy a few consumables that I really needed, and felt totally sick after fighting the crowd. The video below shows the insanity of the human population just like COMEX 2007... 700,000 people over 4 days in an area of 300,000 sq/f. Insane.

I caught hairspray. I enjoyed every moment of it! It's a GREAT SHOW, and I give it 4.5/5! Excellent show! The lead actress and the songs are all very catchy and totally commendable. A must-catch!
